Joe Sinfield, Sc.D.

Joe Sinfield is a professor, researcher, and thought leader in Civil Engineering and Innovation Science. At Purdue University, he founded and directs the Institute for Innovation Science, where for more than a decade he has advanced the study of how innovation happens within complex systems. His research focuses on developing evidence-based methods and tools that help organizations achieve their desired impact. Joe’s work bridges academia and practice, informed by his experience as an engineer, entrepreneur, and consultant to some of the world’s most innovative organizations.

Tim Gustafson, M.D.

Tim Gustafson is a strategist, entrepreneur, and physician executive focused on helping organizations create meaningful impact in complex, adaptive environments. He has led innovation and transformation initiatives across sectors, with particular depth in healthcare. At CAS2, Tim leads the firm’s efforts to translate Innovation Science into practical tools and strategies that help leaders move from complexity to impact. His work combines strategic design, systems analysis, and organizational leadership to help clients build the capabilities required for lasting change.
